How To Prepare APSC 2018 (Assam Public Service Commission)

The government of Assam conducts the APSC (Assam Public Service Commission) Examination.
There are two examinations conducted by APSC and they are-
  1. Combined Competitive Examination.
  2. Departmental Examination.
Eligibility to appear APSC: 
  1. Candidate must be an Indian citizen.
  2. The age of the candidate should be in between 21 to 38 years. (Age relaxation up to 5 yrs).
  3. The candidate must have a degree (B.Sc/B.com/B.A?B.Tech/Any equivalent degree) from any recognized university.
  4. Candidates who appeared the degree exam and are waiting for the results, cant apply for the post.
Exam Pattern of APSC:
  1. Preliminary Exam: The first exam is Preliminary Exam. This exam consists of two papers and for each paper, 2 hours is allocated. A screening test is evaluated in this examination. Multiple choice questions will be available in this examination. The two papers are - a) General Studies b) One optional Paper. Now the question is what are the optional paper. They are given below
  2. Main Exam: The candidates who cracked the Preliminary Exam will go for the Main Exam. The written examination consists of four papers of three hours each. This written exam is different from APSC Preliminary Exam, as this exam will be subjective types. The four papers are- a) General English( 300 Marks/ 3hrs) b) General Studies (300 Marks/3 hrs) c) 1st Optional Subject (200 Marks/ 2hrs) d) 2nd Optional Subject (200 Marks/2hrs).                                                                   but there are few subjects which are not allowed to take together. They are- a) Philosophy & Psychology b)Anthropology & Sociology c)Agriculture & Animal Husbandry & Vety. Science )Mathematics & Statistics.
